SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE AWARDS 2008
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the Scholarship Committee is to identify one young woman and one young man registered within the Association, who through their commitment to the game of soccer and their diligence in their chosen studies have exemplified themselves above their peers. REQUIREMENTS: The requirements for eligibility include the following:
A minimum of 3 years of registration with the N.J.S.A.
Achieved the plateau of a minimum of 80 credits within their chosen discipline
Are currently maintaining a minimum of a 3.0 g.p.a
Have never incurred in an extended suspension by the N.J.S.A.
Submission of a typewritten essay of a minimum of 500 words on how the game of soccer has influenced your sensitivity to cultural diversity.
DEADLINE: The deadline for submission of application including essay, and credentials is December 31, 2007. AWARDS: The Scholarship Committee will review the applications and credentials and determine the award winners by January 30, 2008. The award winners will each receive two free tickets to the annual N.J.S.A. Hall of Fame Dinner in March. They will be recognized at this event, and their individual $500.00 award will be sent directly to their educational institution.
